The story came first. I know AI images are controversial, but I had AI create the image after the fact, and was just too impressed not to include it! The story was a reference to the term that is often used in the UK to refer to crossing guards, the people who hold a stop sign to help with traffic. They call them the lollipop lady/man/person, because the sign is similar to a lollipop!
